Indigo Kids and Rally Reader teamed up to inspire more summer reading. Congrats to our readers for hitting the 1 million minute milestone! The 2024 challenge is over, but stay tuned for details on the 2025 challenge. We hope to see you next summer!

Sign up for the Summer Soar Reading Challenge
Parents sign up for the Summer Soar Reading Challenge by creating a family account.

Create profiles for family members
After creating a family account, parents create profiles for each of their participating children. There is no limit to the number of kids who can participate! Anyone can participate, but the challenge is best for kids up to grade 8.

Start reading!
Any type of reading counts toward weekly reading goals! Kids can read paper books purchased at Indigo, borrowed from a library, assigned from school, or read digital books in the Rally Reader iOS app.

Celebrate progress
Families will login to the Summer Soar leaderboard to enter minutes read for paper books. Minutes read in the Rally Reader iOS app are automatically added to the Summer Soar leaderboard. Celebrate progress toward reading goals each week and soar to the top!

Win exciting prizes
Kids who meet the 125-minute reading goal by each Sunday at midnight will be entered into the weekly draw for prizes. Each week, there are 10 chances to win a $50 Indigo gift card. At the end of the challenge, there are 10 chances to win a grand prize $100 Indigo gift card. Throughout the challenge 50 readers will win a pair of Cineplex Odeon movie tickets.
Every week kids meet the goal, they earn an entry into the draw. To get the maximum number of entries and increase their chances to win, kids need to meet their 125-minute reading goal for all 8 weeks. All winners will be chosen at random. See official contest rules.
